1. How do I submit my short abstract?
Register on the PETEX abstract submission site if you are not a registered user. Once registered you can log in to your account. On your home page there is an option to submit your short abstract.
2. What is the abstract submission procedure?
First you submit a short abstract. All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by experts and you will be sent an email once your abstract has been selected or rejected.
If your abstract is selected you need to submit a full abstract. The ability to do this will be made available to you on your home page once logged in to your account.
3. How do I submit my full abstract?
The status of your selected abstract(s) will be updated on your home page.
Selected abstracts will show a status of "Accepted". You can click on the status to submit the full abstract.
4. How do I add multiple authors or presenters?
Click on "Save and add another author / presenter" button once you have filled in the author details. This will keep you on the same screen. You can enter any number of authors.
5. How do I change the authors' display position?
Click on the "up" and "down" arrows next to each author to change their position.
6. How do I edit the authors' details?
In the author details page you can click either on the name of the author or the icon provided on the left hand side.
7. What should be done if I am the only author and the presenter?
Your details will be entered automatically - you can skip the entry of the presenter details by clicking on the link at the top of the author screen.
8. Can I edit or delete my abstract once it has been submitted?
No. You will need to contact guy@pesgb.org.uk or info@abstractsubmission.org.uk
9. How do I upload an image?
Using the text editor's image icon you can upload an image. Please keep in mind that you have to process the image before uploading. You cannot edit or alter the image once it has been uploaded. The image you see after the upload is a reduced version. You will be able to see the original image only in the final output.
10. How do I create an equation?
Click on the Fx icon on the image editor. This will open a equation builder in a popup window. Once you have created the equation please select "copy to document". Please ensure that you close the popup window.
11. Where do I contact if i get an error on submission or have a query on submission?
Please email info@abstractsubmission.org.uk with your error message. We will get back to you as soon as possible. It will be easier for us to trace the error if you could specify the browser name and browser version you were using.
12. How do I find out the browser version?
Open your browser if its closed. Select the Help option from the menu ( you can find on the right hand side ) and click on About option.
